Semana intensa a la vista! / Intense week at sight!

Sí, lo sé, prometí ser más constante y esta semana no he cumplido, pero es que... en fin, no tengo excusas. He sido un perro y ya está. Parte de la culpa es de lo siguiente: la semana pasada alquilé la serie de Perdidos, y tenía una semana para ver toda la primera temporada. Me he metido una maratón de capítulos bastante importante, pero ya estoy a punto de terminar (no sé de dónde he sacado las fuerzas de escribir esta entrada, necesito ver el final ya!!!).

La semana que viene promete ser intensa. Probablemente (es decir, si no pasa nada), el lunes iré a mi primera clase de boxeo. Me van a dar unas hostias... El miércoles, voy al estadio del M.City para ver el partido de la UEFA contra el PSG. Y voy rodeado de franceses. Nos van a dar unas hostias... El jueves, partido de futbito con los franceses, y seguro que me llevaré unas hostias... Y por último, un grupo de amigos viene por aquí el viernes y se quedan hasta el lunes. Espero que esos no me den de hostias.

En cuanto a este finde pasado, pues adivinad. Como siempre, fiesta! Aunque esta vez fuimos cuatro gatos, pero aún así fue una pasada. Acabamos en un local de ésos de heavies del infierno, con unas cervezas de más, y jugando al House of the Dead. Que alguien me diga que eso no es un planazo!

Yes, I know, I promised to be more constant and I haven't done it this week, but it's because... well, I don't have an excuse, I've just been lazy. Part of the blame should be given to this: last week I rented the series "Lost", and I only had a week to watch the first season, so I've had a big marathon of episodes, but I'm about to finish (I don't even know how I have managed to write here, I need to watch the end now!!!).

Next week is likely to be intense. I'll probably go to my first boxing lesson on Monday, and I'm pretty sure they are going to beat me up... On Wednesday, I'll go to M.City Stadium to see the UEFA Cup match M.City - PSG, all with French people. They are going to beat us up... On Thursday, 5-a-side match with the French, and I'm sure they'll beat me up... On Friday, a group of friends will come here and they are staying till Monday. I hope they won't beat me up.

As for this last weekend, just guess. As usual, party! Although this time it was just a few of us, it was great. We ended up in a hard-rocker´s club, a bit drunk and playing House of the Dead. Just tell me that that's not a wonderful plan!

Fin de semana loco/ Crazy weekend!

Hola de nuevo! Este fin de semana ha sido genial, con un montón de cosas que hacer, a diferencia de cualquier otro día de la semana.

El viernes tuve partido de fútbol con los franceses, y jugamos contra un grupo de ingleses. Perdimos 7-2, pero fue divertido. Después de eso fui un rato a Salford, a tomar unas cervecitas (healthy life!), y más tarde a la estación de tren con Charlie a recibir a Marta y Paula. El miércoles había llegado Isa, y junto con todas ellas y Ainhoa (que vive en Manchester), tenía a casi todas mis mejores amigas de la carrera aquí. Pues eso, fuimos a tomar algo por ahí y después a casa.

El sábado fue bastante parecido, pero incluso mejor. Tuve partido otra vez, pero esta vez éramos dos españoles y todo lo demás franceses. Mi equipo empezó perdiendo 4-0, pero acabamos empatando 5-5. Estuvo genial, y después de eso fuimos a cenar a casa de JC y Martial, amigos de aquí, y descubrimos que con 2 monedas de una libra y un par de vasos se puede jugar y entretener a 10 adultos durante un buen rato. Bueno, adultos o lo que seamos nosotros, jejeje.

De allí nos fuimos a la fiesta que celebraban Céline, María y Mélanie en Salford en su nueva casa. La mejor fiesta en lo que va de curso... Y después, salí con mis amigas de la uni, y acabé durmiendo con todas en casa de Ainhoa, donde aprendí cómo se baila el "cumpleaños feliz" de Parchís y vimos hasta la saciedad "The one semester of Spanish love song".

Hi again! This weekend has been great, with lots of new things to do, which is different from the other days of the week.

On Friday I had a football match with my French friends, and we played against a team of English people. We lost 7-2 but it was fun. After that we went to Salford for a while, to take some beers (healthy life!), and then Charlie and I went to the train station to welcome Marta and Paula. Isa had arrived on Wednesday, and with them and Ainhoa (who lives in Manchester), I had almost all of my best friends from the degree here. We went to have some drinks and then everyone went home.

Saturday was quite similar, but even better. I had another match, but this time we were two Spanish people and the rest were French. My team started losing 4-0, but we ended up drawing 5-5. It was just great, and after that we went to have dinner to JC and Martial's house, and we found out that with two one-pound coins and a couple of glasses you can play and entertain 10 adults for a long time. Well, adults or whatever we are, lol.

From there we went to Céline, María and Mélanie's housewarming party. Best party of this new year... After that, I went out with my friends from uni, and ended up sleeping in Ainhoa's house, where I learned how to dance a "Happy birthday" song by an old Spanish children band and we watched "the one semester of Spanish love song" many times.

No se puede decir que haya pasado nada especial durante la última semana: fui a ver la película de James Bond, singstar el viernes, fiesta el sábado, y poco más. Ya se nos ha incorporado la única que faltaba en el grupo de auxiliares del año pasado: bienvenida, María!!!

Por lo demás, tengo la sensación de que si no me empiezo a mover me voy a morir del asco en Leigh, así que la semana que viene voy a probar clases de... Boxeo!!! Seguro que me corren a hostias, pero bueno, así satisfago mis tendencias suicidas, jajaja.

Hi everyone! As you can see, I'm startin to be serious about writing here... I can say that anything special has happened during the last week: I went to watch the James Bond movie, played Singstar on Friday, party on Saturday, and nothing else. The last member of the surviving assistants of last year has arrived: welcome, Maria!!!

As for the rest, I have the feeling that unless I do something I'm going to die of boredom in Leigh, so next week I'm going to try... Boxing lessons!!! I'm sure they are going to beat the hell out of me, but this way I can satisfy my suicidal tendencies, lol.

Semana después de Halloween / The week after Halloween

Como ya dije en la entrada pasada, el fin de semana pasado fue Halloween, y como tal había que celebrarlo. Aquí os dejo algunas fotos de esa noche.


Otra cosa que me han dado y que voy a publicar aquí por "fascículos" es una lista de errores sacados de los trabajos de los estudiantes ingleses. A mí me parecen buenísimos, entre otras cosas porque me los creo (algunos los he visto yo personalmente). La parte en inglés es para los franceses, así que no le hagáis mucho caso. La primera entrega es "leisure (ocio)". Disfrutadla!!!

As I said in the last entry, last weekend was Halloween, and we had to celebrate it as such. Here you have some pictures of that night.

Another thing that I've got and that I'm going to publish in small "parts" is a list of mistakes taken from the children's courseworks. I think they are great, but I guess they won't be funny for non-Spanish speakers. I'll try and translate them when possible. The first part is "leisure" (you've got them in the Spanish part).
